Event Description:

On Saturday, September 15, The Youth Art Show of Winston-Salem  will feature local, talented youth artists, ages 8-18, who will exhibit and sell their artwork to the community.  This unique show, organized  by Winston-Salem arts advocate Leslie Smith, aims to acknowledge the depth of creativity in local youth and promote the value of creative careers.

The show will begin at 1100 a.m. and run until  2:00 p.m. at MIXXER which is located at 1375 N Martin Luther King Jr Drive in Winston-Salem.   The event is outdoors, free and open to the public.  Parking is available nearby.  In addition to the youth exhibitor booths, the day’s events include Taqueria Luciano’s Taco Truck, Rockin’ Jump games, music by On Demand DJ, and live performances by Headcase, the  local, youth rock band and the Kossler Suzuki guitar students.

Sponsors include The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County’s Community Enrichment Mini-Grant program, MIXXER, Rockin’ Jump, Flywheel, On Target DJ, Headcase, and Blue Ridge Kung Fu.   “This is a grand opportunity to help bring youth in our community together to foster a supportive environment of like-minded youth artists, art professionals, local art collectors and buyers,” said  Smith.
