Davidson County ranked among the Top 5 counties in North Carolina last October and November for Emergency Room reported drug overdoses.   Substance abuse is a community problem and The 108 Challenge wants to engage community members to help prevent substance abuse by knowing "what to look for" - the signs and symptoms, increase drug prevention education in the school systems and help addicts who are ready to seek help, access treatment.
