Spring is the Time to Eat Clean – Kids Edition

Many parents struggle with getting children into healthy eating habits. Spring is here and all of
this greenery may have you craving a little dietary refresh. If you or your child’s diet has been off the rails since the holidays then I have a solution for you. Consumed with junk food and candy, I am here to offer five clean eating recipes for you and your child to enjoy all season long.

1. Lentil Tacos - the vegan version of classic tacos, where you substituted lentils with
ground beef. Lentils are edible legume. It is a bushy annual plant known for its lens-shaped seeds.

2. Apple with almond butter - The apple will please your sweet tooth, and the almond butter provides valuable protein. Almond butter a lower carb option.

3. Kale chips - just preheat your oven to 165°C. Place kale on a baking tray, drizzle with
olive oil and add sea salt and spices. Bake until crunchy for a few minutes.

4. Almond cookies- you only need two ingredients! These raw almond cookies contain no
added sugar and take just 15 minutes to make.

5. Sweet potato fries- healthier and sweeter alternative to regular potatoes, you can eat
these alone or pair with your favorite baked chicken tenders or vegan burger.
